So I was writing some Python scripts, and I ran across some source code, which uses a little Python library called html2text that converts HTML to Markdown-compliant textfiles.
Hoo boy. I haven't run across that username for a while. It's funny how people you have never met can stab me in the heart, while people you know (or used to know) can die and I feel mostly numb.
I used to read Swartz's blog when he was alive, before he got into trouble. It is a cliche to lionize the dead but the kid had smarts and could write. Apparently he programmed some useful tools, too. Then MIT and the government made an example out of him. It worked, too.
No, I still have not watched The Internet's Own Boy. Why do you ask?
