Suffer Alone
I have written this entry several times before. No matter. It is rerun season.
When there is a tragedy then everybody murmurs politically correct claptrap like "Why didn't the victim reach out?" This is nonsense. People are willing to help in a crisis because then they can be heroes. But nobody has the patience for mundane drudgeries, especially when spouted by those who cry wolf too often.
Supposedly we have healthcare in this country, but teeth don't count and eyes don't count and moods don't count. You get to pay for those out of pocket, so there is a lot of supply and those who are not willing to pay $178 per session are left out.
Therapy might be effective occasionally, but it is a broken model for dealing with mental health.
Rant over.
