Statistical Rationalization (aka Patterns in My Life)
It appears that I spent 21 hours on the Internet last week, the vast majority idly surfing the web.
This week I am totally stressed out and in real danger of falling behind on my work, letting down all my students in the process.
There's some long story about self-control and post-midterm letdown and incompetence and the ways I deal with stress in all this. Or maybe not. Correlation doesn't imply causation, after all. If it did I would be fairly annoyed with myself right now. But isn't it funny how I manage to create these correlations EVERY SINGLE TERM?
